Road Hog!!!

We all know that Bears are a very serious threat while playing in the outdoors. Bears will very rarely just attack people because they are there, but attacks usally happen when a surprise encounter occurs and a sow and her cubs feel trapped. They are simply protecting there young and do not deserve to be killed. I personally learned this the hard way. While hunting with my father we ran into a grizzly sow and her cubs unexpectantly. The only sort of protection I had was my remington .270 and my father was unarmed because of a recent shoulder injury. Luckily when the sow decided to charge us the gunshots i quickly fired into the air scared her enough that she changed her charging path just before running directly over me. After this very scary experience happened I realized that i would have felt horrible for killing her if i would have had to. Not only would i have killed her but I probably would have consequently killed both of her cubs. In case this happens to me again or to anybody else I now encourage people to use bear spray. Luckily for us montanans the top rated bear spray currently on the market is made by a company name Counter Assualt in Kalispell, MT. It is locally available at almost every sporting goods shop in montana. With several different sizes available and a easy access holster that is included with the purchase of the bear spray, they make carrying bear spray very convienent. It starts at about $30 and goes up or down depending on which shop your in. However this is a little pricy at first glance, Counter Assault does have a shelf life of 4 years and $30 is a very small price to pay for potentially being a lifesaving device. With a shooting distance of up to 32 feet and a spray time of 9.2 seconds any bear is bound to stop short of you when you use this powerful non-lethal weapon on them. I strongly encourage anybody who is outdoors to carry some sort of bearspray protection with them to ensure the safety of themselves and the wildlife.
